When you sign up, we collect your Google account email address, name, and profile picture. We do not store passwords — sign-in is handled by Google OAuth. When you use the service, we collect your search queries and alert keywords to personalise your experience.
We use your email to send alerts and digests you have explicitly subscribed to, authenticate your account, and communicate about your subscription. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your data is stored on servers hosted by Railway.app (or your configured host) in a PostgreSQL database. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS-only communication, Google OAuth for sign-in, and restricted database access.
We use a JWT token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
You will only receive emails from us if you have registered an account or explicitly set up a keyword alert or digest subscription. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also delete all your alerts at any time from the Alerts page.
We use Resend (resend.com) to deliver emails. Your email address is shared with Resend solely for the purpose of delivering emails you have requested. We use PayPal (paypal.com) to process Pro subscription payments. When you initiate a payment, you will be redirected to PayPal's interface; we do not receive or store your payment card details or financial information. PayPal's privacy policy applies to all payment data they handle. We use Vercel Analytics (vercel.com/analytics) for anonymous, cookie-free usage statistics to improve the service.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days. Article data from public news sources is retained indefinitely for historical search.
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. You may request deletion of your account and associated data. You may update your email address by contacting us. To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact page.
We may update this policy. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
